What you will do

• Monitor and report on cloud and AI/ML spend, identifying trends and cost optimization opportunities.
• Enforce tagging and cost allocation strategies to ensure accurate showback reporting across dimensions.
• Develop cost reports and dashboards for engineering and finance stakeholders using Power BI or Tableau.
• Track specific AI metrics such as cost per token and cost per inference to support cost-conscious decision-making.
• Execute optimization actions, including rightsizing recommendations and idle resource cleanup.
• Collaborate with IT and platform teams to validate usage data and maintain FinOps runbooks.

Requirements

• 6 to 8 years of experience in financial analysis, cloud operations, or IT finance.
• Experience working with AI cost and usage data (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) and cost management tools.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying billing data and advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel).
• Strong analytical skills to translate complex billing data into actionable business insights.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or Business.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• FinOps Certified Practitioner certification.
• Experience with FinOps platforms like CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, or AWS Cost Explorer.
• Basic Python scripting for automating recurring cost reports.
• Experience supporting cross-functional stakeholders in a large global enterprise.
