Principal Business Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Remote, United States; ability to travel approximately 4–6 or more times per year for in-person collaboration

Salary: $118,000–$135,000 annual full-time base salary, plus eligibility for annual incentive and equity programs

What you will do

• Lead decisions on eligibility for higher credit lines, second cards, and improved terms.
• Design portfolio strategies using customer account history, behavior, and financial data.
• Use AI-driven tools to improve the speed and quality of analysis.
• Run market tests and use results to guide future investment decisions.
• Translate analysis into recommendations that support growth while managing credit risk responsibly.
• Collaborate with product, data science, engineering, and capital markets, and present strategy and results to senior leadership.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a highly analytical role.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, finance, engineering, mathematics, or a similar quantitative field, with a strong academic record.
• Experience solving open-ended business problems by framing questions, forming hypotheses, analyzing data, and defending recommendations.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar data-analysis tools.
• Understanding of the card business lifecycle, including acquisition, risk, and engagement.
• Ability to travel approximately 4–6 or more times per year for in-person collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with credit cards or other consumer lending products.
• Experience scaling a business in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Strong SQL or Python skills.
• Experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, or Cursor.
