What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Research and implement technical accounting guidance under U.S. GAAP, specifically focusing on ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 718.
• Prepare U.S. GAAP compliant financial statements, supporting schedules, and disclosures for management and external stakeholders.
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors, preparing audit-ready workpapers and responding to technical inquiries.
• Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Revenue, and People teams to evaluate accounting implications of new commercial arrangements.
• Automate accounting processes and build scalable internal controls to support rapid organizational growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA required or actively pursuing.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or high-growth tech companies.
• Deep technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience preparing technical accounting memos.
• Experience supporting financial statement audits and month-end close in fast-paced environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Big Four or national public accounting experience.
• Experience in high-growth SaaS, AI, or venture-backed startups.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, QuickBooks, or NetSuite.
• Experience with consumption-based revenue models or M&A due diligence.
