What you will do

• Lead the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Manage accounting for general liabilities, including AP accruals, contingencies, and debt.
• Oversee staff development and foster a team environment of trust and accountability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues and drive high-quality decision-making.
• Implement internal controls and maintain compliance with Company policies and regulatory bodies (FASB, SEC).
• Automate reporting tools and systems leveraging AI technology to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 8+ years of post-graduate experience.
• Must be based in or be able to work hybrid 3 days a week in San Diego, CA.
• Thorough knowledge of US GAAP, accrual accounting, and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Experience managing teams in dynamic environments with tight deadlines.
• Ability to leverage AI and automation to enhance accounting processes.
• CPA or MBA is highly desirable.

Nice to have

• Software or SaaS industry experience.
• Two or more years of public company audit experience.
• Working knowledge of Oracle R12, Blackline, Coupa, and Kyriba.
