Accounting Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid role requiring two days per week in the Bay Area office in Oakland, California, effective October 2026. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 annually

hirify.global is an end-to-end investment platform for single-family rental homes that combines real estate investing with technology, financial software, tenant services, and property management solutions.

What you will do

• Lead accounts payable and procurement operations, including invoice processing, approval routing, purchase orders, vendor onboarding, KYC, and escalations.
• Own payroll and benefits accounting, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage the monthly close, year-end close activities, US GAAP compliance, and the four-to-five-day close timeline.
• Produce recurring cash reporting and monthly close packages covering GAAP financials, non-GAAP measures including EBITDA, and cash analysis.
• Manage an initial team of two, assigning workloads, supervising daily work, and reviewing outputs.
• Partner with FP&A, consultants, and other departments while improving processes through automation and AI-driven accounting workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable and procurement operations.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, advanced Excel skills, and proficiency with financial reporting tools.
• U.S. work authorization is required; H-1B visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite, Zip, or Ramp.
• Payroll and benefits accounting experience.
• Big Four or large regional public accounting experience.
• CPA certification.
