What you will do

• Lead mechanical design activities across the full product lifecycle.
• Oversee design reviews and technical governance activities.
• Produce and review complex 3D CAD models and assemblies.
• Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and design justification.
• Coordinate activities with electronics, systems, and manufacturing teams.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Proven experience leading mechanical design activities through the full development lifecycle.
• Expertise in 3D CAD modeling, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
• Eligible and willing to obtain SC clearance.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Glasgow or Reading.

Nice to have

• Experience in defence, aerospace, or other safety-critical engineering programmes.
• Knowledge of electronics packaging, enclosure design, or electromechanical integration.
• Experience using simulation tools to support mechanical design activities.
