Senior Software Developer (AI)

Location: Must be based in Toronto, Canada (In-person onboarding and identity verification required)

Salary: $123,000 – $180,400 CAD

What you will do

• Design and implement complex agentic subsystems, including tool composition and agent orchestration.
• Build end-to-end RAG systems and manage context retention across user sessions.
• Develop and own evaluation frameworks to measure AI quality, safety, latency, and cost.
• Embed trust into workflows via human-in-the-loop review gates, traceability, and confidence signaling.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and QA teams to translate customer workflows into technical solutions.
• Mentor developers and contribute to the overall architecture of the agentic platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering production-grade software.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern web technologies like React.
• Demonstrated experience building LLM-powered features, agents, or RAG systems in production.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented architectures.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and Git workflows.
• Must be located in Toronto, Canada.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or other agent frameworks.
• Experience with vector stores and production-quality embeddings.
• Proficiency with Node.js and cloud-native architectures (AWS, Docker).
• Knowledge of 2D/3D visualization or graphics technologies like WebGL/WebGPU.
