AI Experience Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote — USA, Canada, Europe, or Australia

Starting salary: $130,000–$160,000 USD per year or $115,000–$130,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Own the full-stack design and engineering quality of Innovation Crew pilots and prototypes, from concepts and wireframes through backend services, API integrations, and production-quality interfaces.
• Design human-on-the-loop interactions that let users inspect agent traces, audit outputs, adjust parameters, surface anomalies, and intervene when necessary.
• Build and maintain a shared design system and component library with AI-specific components such as streaming output displays, agent status indicators, trace inspection views, confidence surfaces, and human-review interfaces.
• Define interaction patterns for AI Assistants and Copilots, including contextual assistance, real-time knowledge retrieval, AI-generated content, and role-specific intelligence dashboards.
• Conduct lightweight user research and usability testing with internal stakeholders and business partners, and collaborate on evaluation interfaces and observability dashboards.
• Champion WCAG accessibility and performance engineering, contribute to frontend technology evaluations, and propose architecture decision records for AI interaction patterns.

Requirements

• Full-stack engineering experience with frontend depth, including backend services, data sources, API integrations, and polished interfaces.
• Production experience with AI-powered systems, streaming output, agent interaction surfaces, human-review workflows, or trace inspection interfaces.
• Ability to design and implement interactions using React or an equivalent framework and modern design systems.
• Ability to work fluidly between Figma and code without relying on a separate design-to-development handoff.
• Understanding that non-deterministic LLM systems require regular inspection and observable-by-default design.
• Ability to deliver accessible, performant interfaces that are clear to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with Langfuse, LangSmith, Phoenix, Arize, or equivalent agent observability tools.
• Experience with data visualization for non-technical audiences and familiarity with the hirify.global product ecosystem or user base.
• Experience designing evaluation harnesses or working with LLM-as-judge patterns.
• Strong product intuition and ability to identify what users need from an AI agent.
