Senior AI Engineer (LLM)

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; hybrid Flex Work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Salary: CAD 180,200–270,200 base pay range; primary Canadian base pay range CAD 169,000–253,000

What you will do

• Design and build core machine learning systems for production AI agents used across hirify.global’s platform.
• Develop LLM-powered agent frameworks, including RAG pipelines, workflow orchestration, evaluation, and feedback loops.
• Own the ML product lifecycle from problem framing and data strategy through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Build scalable, observable, explainable, and enterprise-ready model-serving services.
• Partner with software engineers, product managers, and data scientists to integrate agents into the hirify.global stack.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor or lead ML engineering teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and delivering applied machine learning products at scale through production evaluation.
• 3+ years of professional experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• 4+ years of experience building production-scale services that host machine learning models.
• 2+ years of experience with large language models, text generation models, or graph neural networks in real-world use cases.
• 4+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or an equivalent field; a Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field.
• Experience with autonomous agents and orchestration frameworks.
• Expertise in statistical analysis, supervised and unsupervised learning, NLP, information retrieval, or recommendation systems.
