TL;DR
Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Python/Vue): Building Webfuse features for secure browser-based automation, collaboration, and integrations with an accent on full-stack development, browser security, and real-time communication. Focus on designing APIs, building AI-agent capabilities, and solving complex problems across browser, frontend, backend, and distributed systems.
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; office-first hybrid with four days per week in the Amsterdam office and one day working from home. Candidates must currently be based in the Netherlands.

Surfly develops Webfuse, a browser-based platform for securely extending, automating, and enabling collaboration in existing web applications.
What you will do
- Build in-session interfaces and tools with TypeScript and Vue.
- Develop APIs and backend services using Python, Django, Django REST Framework, Node, and Go.
- Build real-time collaboration features with WebSockets and WebRTC.
- Develop browser automation, in-session extensions, and security controls.
- Build customer and partner integrations, including MCP and WebMCP capabilities for AI-agent interaction.
- Own production features through technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, release, debugging, and maintenance.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional experience building and maintaining production web applications.
- Professional experience with server-side development and TypeScript-based frontend development.
- Direct experience with Python, Django, Vue, Node, or Go, with strong full-stack development experience.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs or backend services.
- Strong engineering fundamentals, including automated testing, debugging, code review, Git, and maintainable software design.
- Currently based in the Netherlands and able to work from the Amsterdam office four days per week; clear written and verbal English communication required. A publicly viewable GitHub profile with personally written code is also required.
Nice to have
- Browser automation experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, or the Chrome DevTools Protocol.
- Knowledge of CSP, cookies, SameSite, SRI, or cross-origin isolation.
- Experience with WebSockets, WebRTC, browser extensions, PostgreSQL, Redis, microservices, containers, or deployment pipelines.
- Experience with MCP, WebMCP, or other AI-agent integrations.
