Senior Software Engineer (AI/Vue)

Location: Hybrid in Delft, South Holland, Netherlands

What you will do

• Build and modernise the customer-facing Knowledge Base across the user interface and backend.
• Frame and decompose engineering problems, orchestrate agents, and verify production-ready results.
• Develop new agentic product capabilities and modernise the legacy Java/MS SQL platform on the TypeScript, Vue, and Azure stack.
• Define implementation briefs, acceptance criteria, tests, runtime checks, migration validation, observability, and rollback plans.
• Review agent-generated changes for architectural correctness, security, maintainability, and operational risk.
• Contribute reusable prompts, subagents, evaluation libraries, and engineering patterns while coaching colleagues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional Java experience.
• Current, daily, hands-on experience delivering production work with Claude Code, Cursor, Aider, or an equivalent agentic engineering tool.
• Experience with at least one of TypeScript, Vue, or Azure-hosted systems.
• Strong software-engineering judgement, testing instincts, and operational awareness.
• Ability to identify agent-generated output that is architecturally wrong, unsafe, or unnecessarily complex.
• Comfort working in ambiguous situations and legacy codebases, with strong written communication.

Nice to have

• Experience modernising or decomposing a heritage platform in production.
• Experience creating reusable prompts, subagents, evaluations, or CLAUDE.md conventions.
• Hands-on experience with MCP integrations or multi-agent workflows beyond a single editor session.
• Depth across multiple technology stacks.
