What you will do

• Analyze federal and state mortgage lending laws to ensure company-wide operational compliance.
• Lead regulatory change management by monitoring legal developments and advising on implementation strategies.
• Act as legal counsel for new business initiatives and product development, assessing regulatory risks.
• Translate complex legal requirements into operational controls within Encompass and Mavent tools.
• Draft and maintain internal compliance resources, policies, and procedures.
• Support internal audits, regulatory examinations, and official inquiries.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 2+ years of legal or regulatory compliance experience in the banking or mortgage industry.
• Expertise in TILA/Regulation Z, RESPA, ECOA, and HMDA.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Encompass loan origination systems and Mavent compliance tools.
