Counsel (Fintech)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; at least 3 days per week in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $203,800–$326,100 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Advise dispute resolution, product, technology, and commercial teams on hirify.global products and services.
• Provide practical legal counseling focused on business objectives, risk, and compliance.
• Draft, negotiate, and complete complex commercial agreements while supporting relationships after execution.
• Manage day-to-day legal support across product development, communications, compliance checks, policies, escalations, and agreement interpretation.
• Lead legal review and approval of product marketing, public relations, presentation, and other team materials.
• Create and improve legal guidelines, templates, and processes to increase efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant work experience; 8+ years of relevant legal experience preferred.
• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to a bar in good standing or eligible for registered in-house counsel status in the state where the role is located.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, analytical, project management, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to understand technical aspects and use cases of software-based products and solutions.
• Ability to work in the Atlanta office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with payments disputes or the payments, financial services, technology, or fintech industries.
• Experience in-house, at a law firm, in government, or in a regulatory environment.
• Advanced degree or additional relevant experience.
• Litigation experience.
