Associate Corporate Counsel (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in New York (Hybrid in-office expectations).

What you will do

• Provide pragmatic legal advice on US and Americas regulatory requirements to enable responsible business growth.
• Support Corporate Development on fundraising rounds, strategic transactions, and corporate governance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on market entry, regulatory mapping, and licensing initiatives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, marketing, and partnership agreements.
• Advise on legal issues related to advertising, promotions, and customer-facing materials.
• Manage outside counsel to ensure high-quality, cost-effective legal support across the region.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (or equivalent) from a reputable law school.
• Active membership in at least one US State Bar in good standing.
• 3+ years of experience in financial services and corporate law.
• Strong familiarity with the legal and business environment in the Americas, including fintech and payments regulations.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating corporate and commercial agreements.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting fundraising transactions, M&A, or strategic investments.
• Prior in-house experience in a fintech or payments company.
• Exposure to US money transmission or financial services regulatory frameworks.
• Comfort using AI and legal operations tools to increase efficiency.
