What you will do

• Lead the investment products portfolio as the primary legal advisor for Mercury Treasury and Mercury Invest.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, compliance, risk, engineering, and operations teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support compliance efforts and ensure examination readiness for FINRA and the SEC.
• Integrate AI tools into legal workflows to increase operational efficiency.
• Translate dense regulatory concepts into actionable narratives for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6+ years of legal experience, including 2+ years focused on non-deposit investment products.
• Deep knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act, Securities Act, Investment Company Act, and FINRA rules.
• Must be based in the United States or Canada.
• Strong working knowledge of AI use cases within legal roles or financial services.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
