Location: Hybrid (Derby, Manchester, or Warrington) - On-site 2 times per week

What you will do

• Design and develop pressure equipment and mechanical components per project specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations for pressure vessels, piping, and associated systems.
• Prepare technical design documentation, drawings, and engineering reports.
• Apply ASME codes and standards for design verification.
• Support stress assessments and structural evaluations of pressure-retaining equipment.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and analysis teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience with pressure vessels or pressure-retaining equipment.
• Strong understanding of ASME codes and standards.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent military experience).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical standards.
• Must be able to obtain BPSS security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Exposure to pressure vessel stress analysis and fatigue assessments.
• Industry experience in nuclear, energy, oil & gas, or power generation.
