Manager, Environmental Health and Safety

Location: Onsite at fulfillment center locations in Clayton, IN; Mount Juliet, TN; or Louisville, KY. Position may require travel.

What you will do

• Coordinate and implement safety, loss prevention, food safety, and environmental compliance programs for the assigned fulfillment center.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits; identify compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Perform job hazard analyses, assess new equipment, and facilitate investigations of incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
• Train and mentor associates and assist operations and safety leaders with their compliance responsibilities.
• Manage contract guard services, theft investigations, safety incident records, and OSHA 300 logs.
• Partner with consultants, vendors, employment agencies, professional associations, OSHA, EPA, and other government agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a safety-related field.
• Two to four years of experience handling safety, loss prevention, environmental compliance, and food safety responsibilities.
• Experience leading and developing a group or team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Emergency response experience with current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Strong communication, partnership, analytical, judgment, confidentiality, and customer engagement skills.

Nice to have

• Worker’s compensation case management experience.
• Demonstrated safety improvements and a strong safety record.
• GSP, ASP, CSP, or equivalent professional safety certification.
