Environmental Health & Safety Lead (Robotics)

What you will do

• Own day-to-day EH&S compliance, including OSHA recordkeeping, required reporting, and general industry safety standards.
• Develop and manage safety programs for robotics and hardware work, including lithium-ion battery handling, storage, disposal, and fabrication or machine shop activities.
• Conduct workplace safety audits, hazard assessments, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Track corrective actions and deliver onboarding, equipment-specific, and hazardous-work safety training.
• Partner with technical teams, Facilities, and the external EH&S consultant on emergency preparedness, evacuation planning, ergonomics, and regulatory guidance.
• Support hazardous-materials storage permitting and inspection requirements as the company scales.

Requirements

• 7+ years of EH&S experience, ideally in a hardware, robotics, manufacturing, or laboratory environment.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety standards.
• Experience with hazardous-materials programs; lithium-ion battery safety or similar energy-storage and chemical-handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize compliance and program-development work, and scale engagement hours as needs grow.
• Strong communication skills for working with technical, engineering, and operational stakeholders.
• Employment authorization verification through E-Verify is required after hire.

Nice to have

• CSP or CIH certification.
• Experience in a fabrication or machine shop environment.
