Autonomous Driving Systems Simulation And Data Analysis Engineer (Autonomous Driving): Develops simulation tools, data-analysis pipelines, and validation workflows for autonomous driving systems with an accent on safety requirements, performance thresholds, and large-scale scenario evaluation. Focus on injecting perception noise and failure conditions, analyzing unsafe behavior, quantifying KPIs and safety indicators, and integrating tools into Linux, Docker, and CI/CD environments.
Location: Hybrid work in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, Canada. Permanent Residents and Canadian Citizens only.
Salary: Up to CAD 150,000 per year.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain C/C++ and Python simulation, analysis, and automation tools for large-scale autonomous driving validation.
- Integrate validation tools, simulation environments, data-processing frameworks, and containerized Linux-based workflows.
- Design scenarios involving perception noise, latency, degraded performance, and system failures to evaluate robustness.
- Analyze real-world and simulated driving datasets to quantify KPIs, safety performance indicators, and behavioral requirements.
- Investigate unsafe behavior and recommend improvements to metrics, thresholds, safety mechanisms, and system requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer, software, electrical, or robotics engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Experience validating autonomous driving functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane centering, automated lane change, highway driving assist, or ADS.
- Production-quality software development experience in C/C++ and/or Python, including tool development, automation, and integration.
- Experience with Linux, CI/CD pipelines, automated validation workflows, and large-scale data processing.
- Experience with autonomous driving software stacks, including perception, object tracking and fusion, prediction, planning, vehicle intent, or vehicle control interfaces.
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Nice to have
- Experience with Foretellix or Applied Intuition Simian simulation environments.
- Experience developing and managing scenario-based validation workflows, ODD coverage analysis, and edge-case traffic scenarios.
- Experience with Docker, CMake, enterprise software integration, ISO 26262, or ISO 21448 SOTIF.
- Experience supporting safety cases, safety performance evaluation, or safety requirement specification.
