Salary: $110K–$150K CAD per year

What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical systems, joints, and robotic linkages for hirify.global platforms.
• Create high-precision 3D CAD models and production drawings using SolidWorks or NX with ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Select optimal materials and manufacturing methods to balance performance, weight, and cost.
• Lead rapid prototyping and iteration using 3D printing and CNC machining.
• Design components for high-volume production processes like casting, injection molding, and sheet metal.
• Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate motors, sensors, and embedded systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design for robotics or complex hardware.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, NX, and applying GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Hands-on experience building and testing mechanical prototypes.
• Must be able to work on-site in Vancouver, Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global, legged, or mobile robots.
• Proficiency in FEA or structural simulations.
• Knowledge of robotic safety standards (ISO 10218).
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or advanced hardware startups.
