AI Platform Delivery Director

Location: Boston, Massachusetts; Springfield, Massachusetts; or New York, New York. Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $148,300–$194,600 per year

hirify.global is a large financial services company with an AI Platform Engineering team building infrastructure for enterprise AI initiatives.

What you will do

• Lead the AI Platform Engineering team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
• Translate the AI platform roadmap into sprints, milestones, and production delivery.
• Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews for agent runtime infrastructure, tool and plugin registries, memory and context management, and agent observability pipelines.
• Set standards for code quality, reliability, on-call practices, documentation, and operational maturity.
• Report progress, risks, and resourcing needs while communicating technical trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
• Remove blockers and build a high-trust engineering culture focused on team growth and technical excellence.

Requirements

• 3+ years managing software, platform, or infrastructure engineers and 5+ years of overall software engineering experience.
• Experience hiring, coaching, and retaining engineers while leading teams through ambiguous, fast-moving priorities.
• Working knowledge of cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, managed cloud services, networking, and multi-tenancy across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience leading complex, multi-month platform initiatives from design through production.
• Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, including model serving, inference pipelines, agentic solutions, or LLM integration patterns.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline; US work authorization without current or future sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience building an internal developer platform from scratch with a strong internal developer experience focus.
• Familiarity with AI safety, model evaluation, and governance frameworks.
• Open-source contributions to platform or ML infrastructure tooling.
• Advanced educational degree.
