Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: San Francisco, hybrid

Salary: $210,000–$300,000 base salary plus equity

What you will do

• Lead, hire, and coach a high-performing infrastructure and platform engineering team.
• Build and scale observability, CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and reliability infrastructure for healthcare AI agents.
• Own cross-cutting systems and services used by multiple product engineering teams.
• Drive technical decisions across GCP infrastructure, Kubernetes, monitoring and alerting, and data infrastructure.
• Partner with product engineering teams to improve developer velocity and operational excellence.
• Design internal tools and automation, participate in architecture reviews, and support incident response.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience and 2+ years in an engineering manager role.
• Experience building and leading high-performing engineering teams in fast-moving environments.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and experience designing, building, and scaling production-grade infrastructure or platform systems.
• Experience with distributed systems, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, observability, or SRE practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes, GCP or AWS, Grafana or Prometheus, data infrastructure, and infrastructure as code.
• Ability to contribute across architecture, implementation, incident response, and developer support.
