Senior Software Development Engineer (AI/Cloud)

Base pay range for Washington applicants: $197,529–$276,539.55 per year. Other site ranges may differ.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and ship developer platform capabilities, including CI/CD pipelines, integrations, self-service tooling, and automation.
• Own software throughout its lifecycle, from technical design through production operation, incident response, root cause analysis, and recovery planning.
• Build and integrate AI-powered tools and workflows that improve engineering productivity.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify pain points, gather requirements, deliver platform solutions, and drive adoption.
• Make infrastructure, architecture, security, compliance, and technology-selection decisions across distributed systems.
• Lead technical designs, mentor engineers, review code and designs, and improve platform reliability and developer velocity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience and deep experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with CI/CD systems, build pipelines, developer tooling, infrastructure as code, AWS or comparable cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical designs, mentor engineers, debug complex failures, and work independently.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident with a current Green Card, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Employment requires a standard background check.

Nice to have

• GitLab, Artifactory, software supply chain security, SBOM, artifact signing, and access-control experience.
• Experience with FedRAMP, NIST, CMMC, AI-assisted development tools, API design, software-defined networking, OIDC, SAML, or OAuth.
• Experience driving cross-team collaboration and representing a platform across an organization.
