Forward Deployed AI Engineer III (Cloud Infrastructure)

Salary: $116,500–$163,000 annual total cash; performance-based pay may reach $186,500.

What you will do

• Own service and integration architecture for enterprise AI platforms and systems, designing for security, cost efficiency, scalability, and operability.
• Build reusable infrastructure-as-code modules, automation frameworks, policy-as-code controls, and self-service engineering patterns.
• Design secure integrations between internal platforms and enterprise SaaS systems, including data and workflow flows.
• Define SLOs and observability solutions with telemetry pipelines, synthetic tests, and actionable alerting.
• Lead incident resolution, root-cause analysis, post-incident improvements, and operational workflow optimization.
• Author architecture decisions and technical documentation while mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or enterprise systems engineering, or 3+ years with a Master's degree.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• Hands-on design experience with public cloud IaaS such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including compute, networking, storage, and IAM.
• Experience building infrastructure-as-code automation with Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent, including reusable modules and policy-as-code frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar programming language, with experience reducing operational toil and making cost-aware recommendations.
• Experience with enterprise integrations, SLOs, observability, LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, AI guardrails, governance, and production monitoring.

Nice to have

• Experience administering or integrating enterprise SaaS platforms such as Glean, ServiceNow, or Salesforce.
• Experience establishing platform engineering standards, templates, golden paths, or internal developer platforms.
• Mentorship experience, open-source infrastructure contributions, or familiarity with FinOps practices.
