Senior Software Systems Engineer (Robotics)

Salary: $165,000–$220,000 per year, plus stock options and benefits

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery for software and vehicle software, including versioning, build artifacts, packaging, and staged rollouts.
• Define and maintain build automation, delivery pipelines, packaging workflows, and pre-launch qualification.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and keep build and deployment environments consistent and repeatable.
• Build tooling for rollout-health tracking, rollback, and recovery from failed deployments.
• Integrate vehicle software, cloud services, and third-party systems so releases work end to end.
• Improve developer tooling and workflows while supporting production systems, deployment automation, and active vehicle missions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, release engineering, or platform roles.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Deep knowledge of Linux internals, packaging formats, containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with delivery pipelines, build and packaging automation, versioning schemes, and artifact repositories.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash and the ability to lead infrastructure projects independently.
• Must be independently authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, IoT, remote or edge-device fleets, and over-the-air update systems.
• Experience with GovCloud, ITAR/export-controlled environments, or regulated infrastructure.
• Database administration experience with PostgreSQL or time-series databases.
• Familiarity with security scanning, compliance automation, and secrets management.
