Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (NX / Teamcenter)

Location: Solihull, United Kingdom; on-site

Salary: GBP 40,000–GBP 60,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using Siemens NX.
• Produce manufacturing drawings in accordance with BS8888 and GD&T standards.
• Perform engineering calculations, including stress analysis and tolerance stack-up assessments.
• Support integration with electrical and electronics teams across the product lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews and technical documentation activities.
• Support prototype assembly, testing, and product development.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proven experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter for mechanical design development and management.
• Strong knowledge of 3D CAD modelling, detailed engineering drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience with BS8888 or ASME Y14.5 and with stress and tolerance analysis.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience from a relevant technical military background.
• Willingness and eligibility to obtain BPSS security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience developing electric motor or power conversion products.
• Knowledge of ECAD and MCAD integration.
• Practical machining experience with conventional workshop equipment.
• Experience assembling and testing engineering prototypes.
