Design and Product Implementation Engineer (Additive Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Act as the technical interface between Design and Manufacturing to translate design intent into viable additive-manufactured components.
• Review engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications, applying Design for Additive Manufacturing principles.
• Build feedback loops between production and design to improve quality, reduce costs, and shorten lead times.
• Lead and support product and process qualification activities for additive-manufactured components.
• Define and coordinate testing, inspection, and validation plans for processes and finished parts.
• Investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
• Typically 5+ years of professional experience in product design, manufacturing engineering, or component qualification, with a strong focus on additive manufacturing.
• Practical knowledge of Design for Additive Manufacturing, mechanical design, CAD modelling, and manufacturability.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, inspection standards, quality requirements, and process optimization.
• Knowledge of product and process qualification, root cause analysis, and corrective actions; Statistical Process Control is beneficial.
• Strong technical communication and stakeholder-management skills across Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Production.

Nice to have

• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional registration.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control.
