Senior Mechanical Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design mechanical components, assemblies, enclosures, end effectors, and operator-worn devices from concept through manufacturing-ready drawings.
• Use Siemens NX and apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Integrate cameras, sensors, PCBAs, connectors, cable routing, and other mechatronic components with electrical and firmware engineers.
• Balance weight, durability, ergonomics, and manufacturability while selecting materials and processes such as 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet metal, and injection moulding.
• Prototype, test, and iterate designs with engineering teams and customers, including requirements and test-plan development.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles and support structural, environmental, and durability validation through production hand-off.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline, with 5+ years of experience designing robotics, hardware, or complex electromechanical products.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD; Siemens NX is preferred, with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis experience.
• Experience designing for 3D printing, CNC machining, injection moulding, and sheet metal, including hands-on rapid prototyping.
• Experience integrating electromechanical assemblies containing cameras, sensors, PCBAs, connectors, cable routing, and enclosures.
• Experience working with customers or stakeholders to develop requirements and test plans.
• Practical understanding of DFM/DFA and comfort working iteratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Nice to have

• FEA or simulation experience covering stress, fatigue, or thermal analysis.
• Experience designing wearable or human-worn hardware.
• Exposure to small-batch or production manufacturing hand-off.
