TL;DR
Assoc Application Analyst (Fintech): Monitoring and providing first-level support for real-time authorization platforms (Net/OVN) with an accent on incident mitigation and system stability. Focus on isolating technical issues across mainframe and distributed systems and collaborating with L2/L3 support teams to ensure 24/7 operational continuity.
Location: Hybrid: Must be based in Basingstoke, UK (at least 3 days in office)

What you will do
- Monitor Authorization TPF and OVN consoles to provide first-level response to system issues.
- Track and resolve assigned incidents, changes, and problem tickets via ServiceNow.
- Collaborate with L2 and L3 support groups and development teams to isolate and resolve system events.
- Maintain and distribute thorough, accurate technical documentation for support procedures.
- Operate in a 24/7/365 environment, supporting critical payment infrastructure.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience or a Bachelor's degree.
- Hands-on experience supporting critical applications based on IBM TPF or open-source distributed systems (Linux, Kubernetes, Kafka).
- Knowledge of Linux, Unix, MVS, VM, SuperVision, or similar mainframe/distributed environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and incident management skills.
- ITIL Foundation Certificate (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
