What you will do

• Translate defined benefit pension scheme rules into detailed system and calculation specifications.
• Support the development and release of changes to integrated calculation systems and applications.
• Work with developers and technical partners to explain calculation logic and system behaviors.
• Review system outputs and test results to ensure calculation accuracy.
• Apply actuarial judgement to complex pensions, systems, and testing queries.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and documentation.

Requirements

• Qualified actuary or strong actuarial systems/development experience.
• Deep knowledge of defined benefit pensions and calculation rules.
• Experience turning pension scheme requirements into clear technical specifications.
• Confidence working with integrated systems, databases, and web-based applications.
• Understanding of testing, change delivery, Agile, Lean, or business analysis principles.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Java, SQL, or similar languages.
