Quality Engineer

TL;DR

Quality Engineer (Manufacturing Quality): Supporting quality assurance and inspection activities for high-reliability engineering products in a regulated manufacturing environment with an accent on dimensional inspection, engineering documentation, and compliance. Focus on investigating quality issues, supporting corrective actions, and improving production quality performance.

Location: On-site in Banbury, South East UK. Candidates must be willing and eligible to obtain BPSS security clearance.

Salary: GBP 35,000–50,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support product and process quality assurance activities across production operations.
• Conduct dimensional inspections, quality verification, and compliance assessments.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Investigate quality issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain quality records and documentation in business systems, including SAP.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier teams to improve quality performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering quality environment.
• Proven experience with dimensional inspections, quality verification, and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Competent use of SAP for quality, manufacturing, or engineering activities.
• Engineering bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent experience from a technical military background.
• Willingness and eligibility to obtain BPSS security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Solumina or similar manufacturing execution systems.
• Knowledge of DISCUS or other quality management tools.
• Experience in aerospace, defence, or other regulated industries.
• Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, or process improvement initiatives.
