Supplier Quality Assurance Manager (Robotics)

Location: London, UK; on-site. Periodic international travel to suppliers and hirify.global sites is required, approximately 10–20%.

hirify.global develops commercially scalable and safe hirify.global robots, including the HMND-01 Alpha platform used in industrial pilots.

What you will do

• Define and own the global Supplier Quality strategy across London, Boston, and Vancouver.
• Build the Supplier Quality operating model, governance, KPIs, incoming inspection, NCR management, MRB governance, audits, and supplier development programs.
• Lead, coach, and scale the SQA team while establishing technical standards and performance expectations.
• Support Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and Manufacturing with supplier quality expertise, risk assessments, and quality leadership.
• Manage quality across multi-tier suppliers, precision components, PCBA, electromechanical assemblies, and safety-critical subsystems.
• Drive supplier qualification, corrective actions, capability assessments, quality agreements, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of direct Supplier Quality Assurance experience in high-reliability, regulated, or precision manufacturing.
• Experience establishing or scaling Supplier Quality departments, including processes, governance, templates, and standards.
• Degree or master’s degree in supply chain, procurement, quality, engineering, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, structured problem-solving, and quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA, analytics tools such as Power BI, database management, and Google Workspace and Slack.
• Experience with supplier audits, FAI, Cp/Cpk, SCARs, MRBs, NCRs, supplier performance metrics, electromechanical assemblies, PCBA quality, machined parts, and complex BOMs.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, ASQ CQE, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
• Experience in IATF 16949 environments.
• Awareness of export controls, including EAR.
• Experience with aerospace, automotive, robotics, electronics, or medical-device manufacturing.
