Human Factor Engineer (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Evaluate user learning needs and develop user-centered enablement resources to support onboarding and workforce readiness.
• Collaborate with super users and peer support networks to gather feedback and identify technology adoption challenges.
• Conduct workflow observations and usability assessments to improve system efficiency and the overall end-user experience.
• Analyze user roles and workforce trends to support long-term staffing analysis and role optimization.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to recommend human-centered solutions that improve system performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in human-centered design, usability, or healthcare technology implementation.
• Experience gathering user feedback and observing end-users to improve system usability and workforce readiness.
• Proven track record of supporting software implementations or digital transformation initiatives.
• Ability to facilitate interviews and focus groups with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Must be based in the United States (implied by federal benefits and regional context).

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience with Oracle Health (Cerner), Epic, or other enterprise EHR platforms.
• Experience supporting VHA, VA, DoD, or other federal healthcare organizations.
• Familiarity with Section 508 accesshirify.global requirements and inclusive design principles.
• Experience supporting Super User or End User Optimization programs.
