Consultant, Stars Consulting Center of Excellence (Healthcare)

Location: Remote, United States; up to 50% travel

Salary: $90,000–$125,000 per year, plus competitive benefits and eligibility for a discretionary bonus or commission.

What you will do

• Build and lead analyses across Medicare Stars measure domains, including CAHPS, HEDIS, HOS, medication adherence, and operational measures.
• Partner with health plans and medical groups to interpret data, design processes, and identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Prepare client deliverables, assessments, quality reviews, presentations, training, and recommendations.
• Manage engagement scope, timelines, deliverables, budgets, work plans, and outcomes.
• Develop client relationships, serve as a direct point of contact, and communicate risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Monitor CMS guidance, rate announcements, and technical specification updates, and integrate Stars deliverables with Hyperlift analytics and CAHPS/HOS survey insights.

Requirements

• Remote work from the United States and availability for up to 50% travel.
• At least 2 years of experience in health plan quality, Star Ratings, experience management, or Medicare Advantage.
• Experience with HEDIS, CAHPS, medication adherence, HOS, Medicare Stars, NCQA, or health plan quality and experience improvement.
• Strong data analytics skills using tools such as Excel, Access, SQL, or SAS.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree and the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with Special Needs Plans, including D-SNP, C-SNP, or I-SNP quality, compliance, and member experience considerations.
• Demonstrated success leading performance improvement initiatives.
