Senior Transmission Line Engineer (63443)

Location: Remote or Lakewood, Colorado, USA. Full-time applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. The role includes office and field work, with occasional travel of 10–15%.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year. The description also lists a Denver-market range of $85,000–$125,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead and manage overhead transmission and distribution line design projects.
• Produce and review plan and profile drawings, structure details, foundation designs, loading diagrams, specifications, and calculation packages.
• Select equipment and hardware, prepare project schedules, cost estimates, budgets, proposals, and technical reports.
• Perform structural calculations and modeling, review submittals, and check the work of designers, drafters, and field personnel.
• Perform field inspections and construction supervision while coordinating project deliverables and client communications.
• Mentor junior engineers, assign work, support business development, and contribute to proposals and marketing activities.

Requirements

• BSCE or BSCET from an accredited institution; civil/structural or mechanical engineering specialization preferred.
• 1–5 years of engineering or relevant field experience, including at least 3 years using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• FE licensure required; PE is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of NESC and applicable ASCE, AISC, GO-95, ANSI, ASTM, IEC, and IEEE standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, structural analysis, and steel, wood, and concrete design.
• Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States. Strong written and oral English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with the PLS-CADD Optimum Spotting tool.
• Experience with MFAD or L-pile for foundation design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
