Associate Veterinarian III

Location: Onsite veterinary practices in Fort Worth, Houston, Katy, and McKinney, Texas, United States. Some travel may be required.

What you will do

• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures.
• Explain examination findings, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans with clients.
• Educate clients on preventative care, vaccinations, and appropriate nutritional products.
• Maintain accurate medical and surgical records and support patient follow-up.
• Develop paraprofessional staff and support Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants.
• Oversee operating, safety, and compliance procedures and represent the clinic professionally.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, DVM or VMD, required.
• Active state veterinary license in good standing, DEA license, and other required state credentials.
• 2–3 years of experience in general medicine and surgery; residency or internship training.
• Strong listening, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with veterinary professionals and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 80% of a shift and lift 50–70 pounds, with team assistance for heavier loads.

Nice to have

• Two years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines.
