What you will do

• Lead the mainframe code analysis and reverse engineering workstream for modernization programs.
• Analyze legacy applications, identify business processes, and map batch, online, database, and external interface dependencies.
• Create application inventories, architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, dependency matrices, and system documentation.
• Provide technical leadership to architects, analysts, developers, customer SMEs, and business stakeholders.
• Conduct technical workshops, knowledge-transfer sessions, and requirements discussions.
• Present findings, modernization recommendations, and risk assessments to leadership.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in mainframe application development, modernization, reverse engineering, and legacy system analysis.
• Strong expertise in IBM mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS, and VSAM.
• Deep understanding of batch and online processing environments.
• Experience with code analysis, reverse engineering, and application discovery tools.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices and application modernization methodologies.
• Experience assessing legacy applications and contributing to transformation programs.

Nice to have

• Experience with MQ Series, REXX, Easytrieve, CA7 or Control-M, and Endevor or Changeman.
• Experience evaluating remediation, migration, application decomposition, and target-state architecture approaches.
