Salary: $104,600 - $162,300 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain batch settlement and reporting applications on the IBM z/OS390 platform.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs for mainframe software, ensuring system integrity and availability.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of application enhancements in collaboration with architects, analysts, and QA.
• Integrate Generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot into everyday coding and development workflows.
• Perform code reviews and apply debugging tools to proactively identify and resolve technical issues.
• Lead small to medium-sized project initiatives as an individual contributor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong professional experience with COBOL, JCL, and MVS/OS 390 batch applications.
• Experience with scheduling software such as ESP or CA7, and proficiency with FILE-AID.
• Ability to work from the Denver, CO office at least 3 days per week.
• Proven experience delivering high-quality, large-scale projects within the financial sector.

Nice to have

• Hands-on knowledge of AI and Large Language Models (LLM), specifically for legacy mainframe environments.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks for business process automation or data analytics.
• Experience with REXX programming.
