Solutions Architect (Pre-sales) – Manufacturing & Automotive

What you will do

• Develop technical engagement strategies for strategic automotive and manufacturing accounts in partnership with sales and technical teams.
• Lead discovery, requirements gathering, solution scoping, architecture design, workshops, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and implementation planning.
• Design end-to-end solutions using Databricks and AWS, Azure, or GCP, integrating cloud services and enterprise applications.
• Build tailored prototypes, reference architectures, migration plans, demonstrations, and customer-facing technical materials.
• Prioritize use cases across connected vehicles, telemetry, quality, warranty, industrial IoT, smart factories, supply chain, engineering, aftersales, EVs, and battery analytics.
• Influence technical and executive stakeholders while collaborating with Product, Engineering, Services, Customer Success, Partners, Marketing, Sales, and Field Engineering.

Requirements

• Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, technical architecture, or a comparable customer-facing role.
• Technical background in data engineering, data warehousing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or related fields.
• Experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience delivering complex proof-of-concepts and technical demonstrations.
• Ability to code in Python or SQL and willingness to deepen knowledge of Apache Spark.
• Business-professional Japanese is required; business-level English is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive manufacturers, suppliers, industrial companies, transportation providers, or mobility businesses.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Apache Spark, MLflow, Delta Lake, lakehouse architectures, or comparable data and AI platforms.
• Experience with vehicle platforms, connected vehicles, smart factories, industrial IoT, supply-chain analytics, EVs, or battery analytics.
• Coaching or mentoring experience and relevant cloud, data, or Databricks certifications.
