Senior Solution Engineer (Data/AI)

Location: Remote, based in Malaysia; regional travel may be required.

What you will do

• Own the technical expansion strategy for telecommunications and financial services accounts in Malaysia.
• Identify new workloads and use cases, including risk and compliance, customer 360, network analytics, fraud, revenue assurance, and real-time personalization.
• Lead technical discovery sessions and design target-state architectures, reference patterns, and roadmaps.
• Present Snowflake technology to executives and technical stakeholders, and deliver tailored demos, proofs of concept, and pilots.
• Advise customers on data modeling, performance, cost governance, security, operations, and migration from legacy platforms.
• Coordinate Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product, Engineering, partners, and junior SE mentoring to support customer outcomes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Architect, or Data Architect.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud data platforms, data warehousing, or big data technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with a programming language used in data and analytics, such as Python.
• Experience designing architectures for data integration, warehousing, BI and analytics, and data science or ML workloads.
• Industry experience or strong exposure to financial services and/or telecommunications.
• Must be based in Malaysia, with the ability to travel within the region as needed.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-native data platforms, including ingestion, transformation, performance tuning, cost governance, security, data masking, and governance.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and their data and analytics ecosystems.
• Knowledge of FSI and Telco regulatory and compliance requirements, including data residency and Bank Negara Malaysia guidelines.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or data science and ML frameworks.
• Previous field pre-sales experience at a data platform, cloud provider, or analytics and AI company.
