Medical Assistant (Chatham County)

Location: Field-based in or near Chatham County, Georgia; daily travel to members' homes is required.

Salary: $23–$27 per hour, with certified Medical Assistants starting at a higher hourly rate.

What you will do

• Partner with providers before, during, and after home visits to support patient care.
• Visit members in their homes, gather information, take vital signs, answer questions, and assist with translation.
• Perform phlebotomy and other medical tasks as directed by the provider.
• Close care gaps, review consent forms, and maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
• Coordinate outreach and visit scheduling while supporting patient engagement.
• Maintain medical supplies and drive independently or with providers to member visits.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program; new graduates and uncertified Medical Assistants may also apply.
• At least one year of healthcare experience; home-based care experience is beneficial.
• Basic Life Support certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort documenting in electronic medical records.
• Ability to walk up to three flights of stairs and carry up to 40 pounds of equipment.

Nice to have

• Fluency in English and Spanish with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Certified Medical Assistant credentials such as CMA, RMA, or CCMA.
