Medical Assistant North NJ- Float

Location: Clifton, New Jersey, United States; float assignment requires travel to other locations within the state and/or region.

Salary: $22.00–$27.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare exam rooms, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Review medical information, collect updated health data, and record accurate documentation.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with clinical procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, referrals, specialist visits, and outside care.
• Process test results and communicate them to patients according to provider instructions.
• Support patient outreach and collaborate with care teams to identify and address gaps in care.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred and required where mandated by the state.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.
• Flexibility to cover shifts for absent teammates and vacancies at short notice, including travel to multiple locations.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
