TL;DR
Medical Assistant-Multi Specialty Full Time Days (Patient Care/Clinical Procedures): Supporting physicians, nurses, and patients in a multispecialty clinic with an accent on patient flow, vital signs, clinical procedures, and safe preparation of exam rooms. Focus on performing venipuncture, ECGs, immunizations, specimen collection, CLIA-waived testing, and maintaining accurate patient and equipment records.

Location: Glenview, Illinois, United States; onsite at the Glenview Multi Specialty clinic. Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, day shift.

Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour.

What you will do

  • Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff while maintaining efficient patient flow.
  • Escort and prepare patients, obtain vital signs, update medical information, and document visit details.
  • Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
  • Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, and stock exam rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, and medications.
  • Communicate professionally with patients and the care team while protecting patient confidentiality.
  • Perform specialty-specific delegated procedures and other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current certification as a CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA, or documentation proving eligibility for an approved certification exam.
  • Certification must be completed within six months of employment and is a condition of employment.
  • American Heart Association-accredited BLS/CPR certification.
  • Zero to two years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work onsite at the Glenview Multi Specialty clinic in Illinois.

Nice to have

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
  • One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.
