What you will do
- Support physicians, nurses, and other licensed medical staff with patient flow, examinations, procedures, and administrative tasks.
- Obtain vital signs, update patient information, prepare examination rooms, and document patient care details.
- Perform venipuncture, ECGs, immunizations, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing as directed.
- Disinfect and sterilize equipment, maintain vaccine and medication inventory, and manage clinical supplies.
- Drive providers to homebound patients and travel to assigned locations for Primary Care at Home visits.
- Maintain the fleet vehicle, including cleanliness, fuel, and medical supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current certification as a medical assistant, or written proof of eligibility for an approved certification examination.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification accredited by the American Heart Association, or willingness to obtain it.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record required.
- Zero to two years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA must be completed within the first six months of employment.
Nice to have
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
- Experience with electronic medical records.
