Team Lead - Substation Engineering

Location: Fully remote or hybrid/in-office in Lakewood, Colorado; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Travel typically ranges from 15–25% and includes periodic field engagement.

Salary: $100,000–$165,000 per year. The listed salary range is based on the Denver, Colorado labor market.

What you will do

• Lead engineers, drafters, and designers delivering detailed physical substation design packages.
• Coordinate design activities, project planning, schedules, workload forecasting, budgets, and project finances.
• Review engineering work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with company and client standards.
• Develop cost estimates, schedules, and assumptions for assigned scopes and change orders.
• Resolve technical issues, support equipment and construction specifications, review vendor submittals, and respond to client RFIs.
• Coach team members, manage performance, support business development, and maintain client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• At least 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Strong written, oral, technical writing, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
• Working knowledge of NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and client-specific codes and standards.
• FE/PE licensure is preferred.
