Lead Engineer, Distribution Engineering

Location: Dorchester, Massachusetts; hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire may be required.

Salary: $145,670–$161,860 annually, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Lead the development, expansion, planning, design, maintenance, and operation of electric distribution systems.
• Supervise, coach, assign, prioritize, and review the work of engineers and design staff.
• Develop, justify, and approve multi-year Life Cycle Plan activities and related projects.
• Oversee distribution asset cost, performance, reliability analysis, event trending, and equipment condition monitoring.
• Coordinate root-cause analysis, corrective actions, system standards, procedures, and technology selection.
• Provide technical direction during normal and emergency operations, including storm duty and emergency restoration assignments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Eight to ten years of experience in the technical, operational, or engineering aspects of the electrical utility industry.
• Experience supervising engineers or technical staff is preferred.
• Knowledge of utility power systems and familiarity with power-related software are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel by car as required.
