What you will do

• Lead a small multidisciplinary hardware development team from product concept through production and lifecycle support.
• Define system architectures and allocate functionality across mechanical, electrical, RF, software, and test subsystems.
• Manage internal and external interfaces, requirements, qualification activities, and technical reviews.
• Drive system-level trade studies across performance, SWaP-C, manufacturability, reliability, schedule, and cost.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks while making decisions under ambiguity.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and test teams to mature designs and support demonstrations and deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with space systems, missile systems, avionics, radar, electronic warfare, or defense electronics.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, interface definition, requirements allocation, and engineering tradeoffs.
• Proven technical leadership of small multidisciplinary teams delivering complex hardware products.
• Hands-on ability to develop, integrate, troubleshoot, and transition hardware systems into production.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering or business.
• Experience with military specifications and standards, technical proposals, and production transition.
• Experience with prototype integration, customer demonstrations, and requirements or MBSE tools such as DOORS, Jama, Cameo, MagicDraw, or SysML.
