Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote from Virginia, United States

Salary: $140,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Assess existing systems architectures and design security solutions that improve security posture and operational efficiency.
• Develop and integrate new security functionality, hardware, software, and security components.
• Design, deploy, and migrate security capabilities across on-premises and cloud infrastructures.
• Define security requirements, dependencies, constraints, integration issues, and implementation plans.
• Plan network and security architectures involving LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, PKIs, certification authorities, and digital signatures.
• Test security systems, support intrusion detection implementations, prepare security reports, and communicate with engineers, developers, program staff, technical leadership, and customers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience designing, deploying, or migrating security capabilities and standards from on-premises environments to cloud infrastructures.
• Experience with security architecture, vulnerability analysis, risk assessments, network security, firewalls, VPNs, PKIs, and security testing.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with CJIS and CIS controls.
• Experience working in the federal sector.
