GenAI Senior Software Engineer (GenAI)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid with at least 3 days in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time. hirify.global is not offering relocation assistance for this role.

Salary: $110,700–$171,800 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and applicable sales incentive payments.

What you will do

• Design and implement software systems and components for large-scale payment technology.
• Build and deploy modern, robust, and scalable services and web applications.
• Develop end-to-end Generative AI features, including data ingestion, backend services, APIs, and downstream consumers.
• Collaborate with Product, Test, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Contribute to design artifacts, product quality improvements, new technology pilots, and business flows.
• Analyze bugs and use debugging tools to verify and resolve issues.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or a relevant bachelor’s degree with at least two years of related experience; or at least five years of directly related experience.
• Expertise in one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as Java, C#, or C++.
• Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability.
• Experience designing Generative AI systems beyond basic prompt usage, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures.
• Experience integrating LLMs into production systems, including prompt orchestration, response evaluation, and handling hallucination or grounding issues.
• Knowledge of backend development, APIs, databases, systems integration, and data structures.

Nice to have

• Experience with container-based technologies, Kubernetes, Docker, Angular, or React.
• Experience building and testing enterprise-scale web services.
