Manufacturing Engineer - Technology Integration Edwards (Manufacturing Automation): Supporting the development, introduction, and optimization of future manufacturing and digital technologies at a Service Technology Centre with an accent on PLC/HMI integration, project delivery, and operational safety. Focus on commissioning and troubleshooting industrial automation, integrating manufacturing systems, validating technology benefits, and coordinating suppliers and stakeholders for onsite operations in Jhunan, Taiwan.

What you will do
- Support CAPEX and current projects from concept development and design input through supplier engagement, scheduling, safety assessment, and delivery.
- Bridge manufacturing and digital technology teams during the introduction of new equipment, processes, and systems.
- Commission, integrate, and optimize industrial automation and manufacturing systems, including factory simulation and IT integration.
- Coordinate suppliers, contractors, internal stakeholders, regional operational teams, and innovation teams.
- Validate operational and financial benefits against business cases and project objectives.
- Support engineering changes, quality and safety improvements, audits, governance, change control, and knowledge sharing across the STC network.
Requirements
- Degree-level qualification in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, automation, or technology integration.
- Strong experience with PLCs, HMIs, industrial automation systems, commissioning, troubleshooting, and integration with manufacturing systems.
- Experience managing suppliers, contractors, and technology partners, together with project delivery, safety assessment, risk management, and change control.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration from the shop floor to management and across global stakeholders.
- Fluent English required for technical discussions and international collaboration.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet, Profibus, or OPC-UA.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Kaizen, time study, VSM, PFMEA, quality tools, and structured problem solving.
